"I will support a termination of further consideration of this matter. At this point, with an LNG partner having left, I think there is no reason to continue the discussion any further."

"...my reading of the health and safety report has led me to conclude that the construction of such a facility in close proximity to a populated area is not appropriate. The study indicates to me that there is a moderate chance of a maritime accident occurring within the vicinity of the proposed terminal that would likely affect populated areas of Vallejo."

"The people have to be the decisive factor...the very large numbers involved against it are a good barometer of where the community is on this issue...the community doesn't want this kind of a plant."

"As I've talked to people, I've come to believe that this could be a setback for the city. A project of this magnitude could define the city in a way we don't want."
